This article shows how you can stop unwanted services in Windows 7….

 

A Service can be defined as a long running executable that performs specific functions without requiring any man intervention. That means it is a program that can run on its own without any man intervention.


 

Services always start when the system boots up. They have the capability of slowing down the system because they also make use of the system processor. Yous should also note that some Service loads automatically while some start running when you open a particular program.

To view running services, click Start button
Then go to Control Panel and click on Administrative tools.
Double click on Services.


 

Alternatively….

  • Select Start
  • Type service.msc in the search bar and press Enter.

Once the Service Window is loaded, the user can turn off any unneeded service.
