The Project Manager also needs to understand the communication needs of his stakeholders. He needs to ensure that they are always updated about project progress.
It is also possible that it is only project communication that some project stakeholders will receive as deliverables for the project.
#5 Concise communication
There is a need for the Project Manager to make communication with Project stakeholders concise, clear, simple, relevant and tailored
He has to ensure that all project communications are targeted towards particular stakeholders in a manner that they will be able to understand.
#6 Positive and negative news
The Project Manager must also communicate with stakeholders in such a way that they have access to both positive and negative views.
He has to let stakeholders have access to viral information. This will allow them to make meaningful contributions to the success of the project.
#7 Incorporating feedback channels
The Project Manager also needs to incorporate feedback channels so that he can tailor his activities based on the feedback he is getting from stakeholders. This will also form a knowledge base that will be used when making future decisions on the project.
