Performing Project Risk Analysis for Projects
Project Risk Analysis is needed in order to prioritize risks for any project. Project Risk Ranking is the overall risk ranking for producing the final deliverables of the product or service of the project. It allows for comparisons among other projects, assisting in project initiation, budget and resource allocation and other decisions.
The risk management team for a project created a probability and impact matrix that illustrates the relative position of threats as identified in the quantitative risk analysis. The team now calculates the percentage exposure of the top four risks.
Quantitative risk analysis as part of risk ranking already suggested the descending order of risks. The above table displays the total exposure of all risks for the project as 3.22% and the exposure of the top four risks as 2.37 %. Considering the top four risks for the team determines the exposure to these risks as 73.6%.
