What is the Maximum in Excel ?
Maximum can be seen as the highest number in a given range. In this article, I want to talk about how to use the Maximum function in Excel. I know Microsoft Excel has been the headache of many. Whether you like it or not, many need Microsoft Excel to perform in their job. What is very much different about my own way of teaching Microsoft Excel here is that I will always show you snapshots of how you can do it from the beginning to the end. This is really overloading my server space. What more can one do to a friend that he loves.
For Maximum function calculation, I am going to use the worksheet that I used for SUM Function. I am not going to use function library for this too because I believe it is too simple to do that.
To start with, every Excel formula start with “Equals to”
Therefore, select the cell that will have your answer and put the Equals to symbol.
After you have put the Equals to sign, you need to search for the function you want to use. In this case, we are going to look for the Maximum Function. When you type Maximum , Excel will show you all functions that begins with Maximum.
There is nothing like Maximum in Excel. it is been abbreviated. What you are going to type is MAX
Once you have picked the function by double clicking it. You will now highlight the values that has your answer.
The next thing is to press ENTER to see your answer. You have found it now. Congrats.
