They are individuals or groups that are interested in the outcome of a project. This outcome can be negative or positive. As a Project stakeholder, you are to take the interest of your project stakeholders into consideration. If you want to succeed in your project. In this article, we want to look at the different ways of identifying stakeholders. Follow me as we look at this together.

How You Can Identify Stakeholders In A Project

#1 Perform project review to identify stakeholders
The first thing that you need to do as a Project Manager is to perform project and related information to review the list of internal and external parties who will be impacted by the project. In reviewing some of this project, you have to consider the project charter which is a Go ahead letter given to the Project Manager to start the project or move the project to the next phase.

We can also have the Procurement document which specifies what you are expecting from third parties that will be contributing one thing or the other to your project.
We also have to consider the organisational or company culture which has to do with the way things are been done in your organisation. This will go a long way in determining the powers that are available to Project Managers.

We also have Government or industry standards which have to do with rules and regulations that you are expected to comply with if you want to be on the good record of the government.

#2: Project Stakeholder Template
You can also have the stakeholder register template which happens to be the record of all stakeholders that are likely to be affected by the execution of your project.

There is the need to review all the lessons that you learned from previous projects looking and reviewing lesson learned will help you to prevent a repetition of your past mistakes.

Finally, there is the need for you to review stakeholder register from previous projects which will help you to identify all your stakeholders.
