Some of you might be wondering why I have been hammering on card safety? I just feel by doing that, I might be able to make the world a better place. There are many people that have been a victim of credit card fraud which is not acceptable. This has to change. In this article, I want to talk about some of the ways that you can identify trustworthy websites.
#1 Starts with https
A trustworthy website will always start with https. Some have argued that the facts that a website has https do not mean it is secured. But it is always good to use an https website because users are more secured on that kind of website. Data going in and out of that kind of website are always encrypted.
#2 The appearance of the padlock is one of the means of identifying trustworthy websites
You should know that the padlock will always appear at the bottom right of the browser besides the URL address.
Also, the certificate used to encrypt the connection also contains information about the identity of the website owner and the organisation.
#3 Click on the padlock as part of checklists on trustworthy websites
You can always click on the padlock to view the identity of the website and information about the owner.
Now your take on this argument.
