Although my focus for this article is not to discuss the seven guiding principles per se. I am just trying to lay a foundation for what will be my focus for the rest of the week. In this article, I want to talk about the Guiding Principle in ITIL 4.
A Guiding Principle is a recommendation that guides an organisation in all circumstances. This can work for any organisation no matter where they are on the ladder.
As I said earlier, the guiding principle can be used to guide any organisation in all circumstances. No matter the stage at which an organisation plan to adopt service management principles they can always make use of these guiding principles. They just need to adapt to their own roles and circumstances.
These principles also allow organisations to integrate the use of multiple methods into their overall approach to service management. These principles can be applied in nearly all circumstances. In my subsequent articles, I will be looking at all these principles one after the other.
