In one of my articles, I once narrated how a man visited his In-law who happens to be an Anti-Terrorist Tsar. He was able to steal information because the man’s system was not passworded. Do you know you can decide not to use Password? Some will steal data from your device and they will not be able to make any sense out of it. FileVault can do that for you. I will show you how to do that in a moment.
FileVault is a software that can be used to encrypt contents. It also automatically encrypts and decrypts your files while you are using them. Encryption has to do with the process of changes the manner of files so that anybody that steals or hijack such file will not be able to make any meaning out of it. To decrypt such files, you will always need the permission of the creator of such file to give you the password to decrypt such file.
How to use FileVault for Apple Device…..
You have to click on “System Preferences”. Once it opens, you will now click on “Security”. After that you will click “Set Master Password” in order to input the password that you will use to encrypt or decrypt your file.
There is something you need to take note of when you are creating the master password for FileVault . You have to ensure that the password you have created is different from the user account password for your system. Trust that the system will not accept that password if you are trying to use it.
After you have set the password for FileVault, you need to verify it by click OK. Then you can be rest assured that your files are now secured and safe.
