In my previous articles which I posted in this category, I have been looking at some of the features of Microsoft Excel 2013. It is indeed powerful.
In this article , I want to look at some of the facts that you need to know about Microsoft Excel worksheets. Some of these facts will really amaze you.
- Column letters range from A to XFD. After column Z comes Column AA to ZZ and so on. Row number also range from 1 through 1,048,576.
- Any currently selected cell is always referred to as the active cell. When you select a range of cells, only the cell in the top left corner of the range is considered as the active cell. You will always see the reference to the active cell in the Name box.
- The headings for the columns and rows containing the selected cells are highlighted, making it easier to identify location of selected cells.
- Kindly note that with 16,000 columns and 1,048,576 rows, your worksheet contains more than 16 billion individual cells.
You should also note that the number of cells you can use depend on the extent of memory that you have in your system.
Excel allocate memory only to cells containing data, you are likely to have trouble using all the cells on one worksheet, no matter how much memory you have.
