The Police Command in Ebonyi on Wednesday stated it was not conscious of the killing and consuming of 5 our bodies of cassava harvesters within the state.
The Information Company of Nigeria (NAN) stated media stories on Wednesday indicated that no fewer than 5 indigenes of Ali Ugwelu village, in Ekoli-Edda group, Afikpo South Native Authorities Space of the state had been killed by assailants on Monday.
The stories added that the assailants, who had been from Cross River State, allegedly attacked, killed and ate up the 5 lifeless our bodies of their farmland.
Reacting to the event, DSP Loveth Odah, Spokesperson of Police Command in Ebonyi stated the command was not conscious of any such incident.
Based on Odah,
“I’m not conscious of such a report.”
Recall that Ali Ugwelu village, Ekoli-Edda group in Ebonyi and Erei Group within the Biasa LGA of Cross River have been disagreeing over the management and possession of a palm tree plantation positioned within the space.
