In my previous article, I have talked about how to encrypt file in Windows, now I want to talk about procedures that you need to follow when you need to decrypt files in Windows.
- Right click on the encrypted file to be decrypted and select “Properties”.
- On the “General” Tab, click the “Advanced” button, an advanced attribute dialog box will appear.
- There are two options under Compress or Encrypted file attributes, compress content to save disk space, encrypt content to secure data.
- Uncheck “Encrypt content to secure data”. Click OK to close the Compress/Encrypt Attribute dialog box. Click on Apply the Settings and then click OK.
