Analysing Change Requests for Projects

If there is one thing that is constant, it is changing. Once stakeholders have agreed on what the deliverables of a project will be, it is very possible for some groups or individuals to want to introduce new things to the project. One thing is clear. It is not that changes cannot be accommodated but every change has to pass through a Change Controlled Board who will decide whether such change should be accommodated or not.

Sometimes, a change in the project scope, work, or process may be necessary to meet the project objectives.

Change requests are requests for changes that are processed through the change control system for their evaluation and approval.
