How agreements contribute to Project Charter

Agreements are used to define initial intentions for a project. These agreements are likely to take the form of contracts, Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), Service Level Agreement which is part of documents signed with contractors and suppliers that dictates the services they are to provide for you.

They may also include a letter of agreement, letter of Intent, the verbal agreement between client and contractor(s), emails and other written agreements.

These agreements contribute to the development of a Project Charter.  Later on, it will allow the Project Manager to know the number of main stakeholders that are coming together to execute a project.

He will discover whether a project was solely funded or it has some external stakeholders who are also contributing to the project.
