Introduction to How to set up a Home Network
in this article, I want to talk about how you can set up a home network.
ln, my article posted yesterday, I have explained what a home network is. They are a set of computers that are set up so that they can communicate with each other. They are to be used at home or small or offices that is why they are called Home Office, Small Office.
In this article, I want to talk about some of the steps that you need to follow when you are setting up a home network. Follow me as we look at that together in this article.
The very first thing is to note that the number of computers that are involved as well as the number of room needed to be covered. This will allow you to come up with the correct topology for the network. Without that in place, you may not know the total cost of what you are about to do.
After you might have discovered the number of devices that you need, the next thing is to go on and make the actual purchase of the devices required. You can decide to buy brand new devices or go to places like eBay to purchase fairly used devices.
The next thing is to check for network interface card on all the computers. That is the card that allows computers to have access to the internet. If they are not available, you may need to purchase one.
The next thing to do when you are setting up a home network is to ensure that the cables are connected together using network cables. There are two ways to connect devices to the network. You can always use wires or make use of Access points.
One thing you should about a home network is that there must always be a gateway. The gateway is the host that connects other computers to the internet. You have to choose a dedicated computer that links other computers to the internet.
After you might have procured a gateway in order to link your computers to the internet, you need to connect the rest of the computers to the internet. You must carry out your test and make sure that every device is working perfectly.
There is the need for you to install your network adapter through a network setup wizard on all the computers.
Lastly, you need to restart all the computers and start sharing all resources using the internet as the basis.
Now your take on this argument.
