save project

In this section, you can choose how your project will be saved. The first section under this part is to choose the extension for your project.

As you can see from above , you can save in Microsoft Project 2003, 2007 and other latest formats. Saving in lower version formats ensures that your file opens in any higher release of Microsoft projects.

Another thing that you can do at this section is to choose the locations where you files will be stored. You need to decide on this so that you will not need to start looking for files when you need to access them.

At this section as well, you need to choose at what frequency you wants to be saving your work. I will advice you just check the box beside this section. Do not try to reduce the timing so that it will not become more annoying at the end of the day.

You can also activate automatic saving and choose what will be automatically saved at the end of the day. You can choose to automatically save the active project that you are currently working on . This will help you to minimise failure due to power failure. You can also choose to be shown additional areas where you can save your project.

save template

Another feature that Microsoft Project 2013 allows is that it allow you to use your own template. You can choose your own default template which you can use while executing your own project. You can notify the software where your personal templates are stored.

cache size

The simple synonym for cache is memory. Most at times , the system remember some of the past actions that you have taken so far as far as your tasks is concerned.  At the backstage , you can choose the size f cache that your project can remember. The default for this is 50 MB.
