When an organisation wants to execute a project, the first question they needed to ask is, if they have the resources to carry out the project internally that they can use to execute the project successfully. If not, they need to look outside the organisation. That is where procurement document comes in . Follow me as we look at this together.
What is a Procurement document ?
Procurement documents are the documents that are submitted to prospective sellers or service providers to solicit their proposals for the work needed. Here , you are submitting a document that shows what you expect to be done or how it should be done if anyone of them is been chosen as the preferred bidder.
You should know that the type of document being used as type of procurement document will be largely depend on the project that is been undertaken as well as the type of product that is been undertaken. It also depends on the type of product that is expected to be supplied at the end of the day.
Request for proposal as an example….
A good example of a Procurement document is a Request for Proposal. Using a Request for Proposal, an organisation seeking to execute a project may send a request for proposal to the organisation stating their history, past campaigns as well as testimonial, their employees work history among others that can be used to convince the organisation.
