Wikipedia defined Email management as a subset of communication management for managing high volumes of inbound electronic mail received by organizations. Today, email management is an essential component of customer service management. Customer service call centers currently employ email response management agents along with telephone support agents, and typically use software solutions to manage emails.
After the near death of the post office in Nigeria and some other part of the world, email marketing has become a powerful tool through which organisations introduces their products and services to customers.
Email software such as Aweber and Mailchimp has been an engine that allow organisations to send their targeted marketing campaigns to Leads and customers alike. In this article, I want to look at how email marketing can be used to communicate with leads and customers alike.
Email management capabilities can be used in two ways which are inbound and outbound . Follow me as we look at the benefits and use this two in this article.
inbound email management
Inbound methodology email management allows the organisation to handle emails that are coming from customers to the organisation. This can be in form of inquiry, commendations, and complaints which allows the organisation to know how satisfied customers are with their products and services.
Response to such mails can also help the organisation to educate customers about their products and services.
outbound email management
When we talk about outbound email management, we are referring to structured email message that are going out from the organisation to targeted leads and customers. This can be used to educate leads and customers about new products and services as well as following on leads as well
