As a Project Manager, you should know that your project deliverables is not all about that building that you are trying to construct or the Stadium that you are trying to put in place. It also has to do with documents that you need to prepare which will serve as a guide when you move from one phase of your project to another. In this article, I want to talk about some of the different parts of a good project management plan. Follow me as we look at this together.

In any setting, when we talk about processes, we are looking at blueprints that we can logically follow which will help us to acheive our project management objectives. There is the need to list out all these vital processes and the level at which they must be implemented in order to acheive our project management objectives.

 

tools and techniques

There is the need for us to list out the tools and techniques that we needed to adopt in order to achieve our project management objectives. Writing out all the tools and techniques will help us to search for the skills that we need for full implementation as well as seeking for alternatives that will deliver the same set of result in a cost effective manner.

 

task description

There is the need for us to describe the task that are needed to be performed in a language that every stakeholder will understand. When analysing the task, you have to explain it in such a way that contractors that are bidding for the project will understand what is required of them and know whether they have all that it takes to acheive the objectives of the project.

 

monitoring and controlling

There is the need for the project manager to put in place a strategy for monitoring and controlling the project. As the saying goes, if wishes were horses, beggars will ride. In the process of executing your project, things are likely to get out of hand. You need to have a way of bringing the project back on track as well as procedures you intend to follow in order to acheive project objectives.
